The Naryn starts in the Tian Shan Mountains in Kyrgyzstan and runs through the fertile Fergana Valley into Uzbekistan. Along with tributary rivers, it’s over 800 kilometers long. The river has several reservoirs used to generate hydroelectric power. The Kürpsay dam is over 100 meters tall.
