This 12th-century castle, repeatedly attacked during the 17th century wars, lay in ruins for 237 years.
Rebuilt in 1909, it now houses a youth hostel.
As we floated along the river seeing all these fantastic sights I kept wanting to stop at each place and explore.
Maybe Viking should come up with a trip that does just that!
