It was a relocation day. It is about 7.5 hours to Atlanta. It took a little longer because we stopped for gas. We also stopped at Priester's Pecans in Fort Deposit, Alabama, about a half hour south of Montgomery. Fort Deposit was established by General Ferdinand J. Claiborne in 1813 under orders from General Andrew Jackson. It was used as a supply depot. I guess there are some remains of the fort in the town, but we have never looked for them. Anyway this is a good stop. Although pricey, their numerous pecan products are very good. They also have good bathrooms. We got some stuff and then headed down the road. Unfortunately, we got to Atlanta just at rush hour so we got to spend an extra 30 minutes or so on the I-285 beltway. So it goes. We got checked into our hotel and crashed.
I have no idea what the little red Priester's truck is all about.
