So we went on a short Christmas road trip to Covington, LA and Alpharetta, GA to visit the kids. Covington is about a five hour drive from our house. It took a little longer because it was pouring rain for most of the trip. We spent some time with Paul and Karen then checked into the hotel to get ready for dinner at the Chimes. It is sort of a tradition to have Christmas with David and Kristie at that restaurant. We got a giant booth because there were presents to be exchanged. So a nice dinner and cool gifts were in store. It was great that the kids could get together with us. They were leaving the next morning at 4:00 am on a vacation to Tahiti and Bora Bora. Can't wait to see the photos.
