Our Little Barge

The evening before we visited Kinderdijk the ship’s cruise director gave an interesting talk on water management.
The 19 windmills of Kinderdijk were built around 1740 to prevent flooding.
They are still being used today.
There was a choice of three different excursions for our visit there.
There was a walking tour, a electric bike tour or a barge tour.
We were very happy we took the barge tour as it was pouring rain!
