Dublin has two historic churches which have their beginnings in early Norman days: Christ Church Cathedral -- https://christchurchcathedral.ie/ -- and St. Patrick's Cathedral -- https://www.stpatrickscathedral.ie/. They were once Roman Catholic but became Anglican (Church of Ireland) when the Reformation began in the 16th century. The Church of Ireland is Anglican. The Roman Catholics have built many churches since the early nineteenth century and see no need to re-acquire very old and expensive church buildings.
