The main reason we went to Lubec, Maine was to visit Roosevelt's Campobello which is situated across the bridge in New Brunswick. It is officially called Roosevelt Campobello International Park, a cooperative effort of Canada and the United States. It was very well done. We attended a tea during which the life of Elanor was presented. I knew she was very active, but I had no idea how many things she was involved in and successful at.
The main attraction is the "cottage" which is really the size of a mansion. It is technically called a cottage because it is uninsulated and unsuitable for winter occupation. It housed the Roosevelt family and staff when occupied. It is the subject of today's photo.
Our last stop was back in the good ol' USA. We had a visit to West Quoddy Head Light Station, the most eastern point in the continental United States.
My back was very sore today as you might expect. That did not stop us. Sometimes I sat in the car as Ginny wandered around. That worked very well.
