It has been a while since I last posted something here. We have been home for about six weeks which means that nothing very exciting happens in our lives. But that is soon to end. We head off to Alaska next Sunday to visit two national Parks, Lake Clark and Katmai. This trip will be more photography oriented because we will go to Brooks Falls to observe the bears dining on the salmon swimming upstream to spawn.

In preparation for this event we got our cameras and lenses out and went outdoors to do some shooting with the long lenses. Things went well, but the temperature was 102F so we didn't linger. Back inside we went through our stuff and topped off all the batteries. This is a lot of stuff to lug up there, but it is a once in a lifetime chance that we want to take advantage of.
