Leafcutter bee (Megachile)

At home

I was looking at one of the many redbud saplings in our garden when I noticed the distinctive signs of leafcutter bees (the circular cuts in the leaf). As I was appreciating the fact they were around, one landed on the leaf and proceeded to cut another section and fly off with it, all in the amazingly short time of a few seconds!
