Everyday things: Bumble bee

At home

usually seen from early spring through autumn, though not in the numbers we used to see a few years ago; not just at home but anywhere they occur, their numbers are noticeably depleted, whatever the species of bumble bee. So they may not be every day things in the near future. A grim prospect.

Nice details, you can see the pollen on the bees body.

Don't see many bees, despite having a huge flower garden that is not treated with chemicals. V

Nice shot. I still see bumble bees, but honey bee numbers are greatly reduced around here.

Both the bee and the flowers are facing directions that are different from what I usually see! Great details on this shot!

This busy bee is doing its job.

I’ve noticed a drop in their numbers coming to my backyard meadow. This is a super photo of one being a busy bee.

what a determined forager...if bees are gone, we lose a prime pollinator, and the price to pay for that will be a very heavy one..

Well captured against a good bg Christine. Scary though for sure - to many scary happenings in life these days.

A nice capture, but a scary thought.
