A good story. Cattle egrets are not the easiest of birds to capture. I like the close up of the heads of parent and chick. They have good detail and the
parent's eye and feathers are sharp . There are problems caused by the sunlight on the white feathers and the varying degrees of light and shade.
The foreground and foliage on the left are out of focus. Some of this could be cropped out. The stick at the back of the chick is distracting and
could be cloned out as this is not a nature competition. You could try again with these birds and play with your ISO and aperture settings.
A darker image is always easier to fix than a lighter one. Keep trying, I have spent hours taking these birds and I appreciate your efforts.
