The monochrome treatment suits this portrait. The composition is very good, I like how the clothing is muted.
The subject has been placed well in the image. Lighting and tonal range are excellent. I do not think that
the image needs the white frame. I also would tone down the white in the beard on the left hand side.
Overall, it is a very nice image which tells a story about character.
