Iceland (Kumlien's) Gull first cycle with Ring-billed Gulls

This bird was intermediate size between the surrounding Ring-billeds and nearby Herrings (out of image field). Note the petite, dovelike appearance of the head and bill with small rounded head and small thin bill. Bill showed dull pinkish at the base though with poorly-defined separation from the dark distal portion (unlike the sharp definition see with the much larger Glaucous); this degree of light on the bill can be seen regularly with Kumlien's. Body coloration is pale brownish gray.
