California Gull adult with Herring and Ring-billed gulls

Yes, I know the photo is tilted, but it was kept that way to fully include the adult Herring as a comparison. This image shows the elongated appearance of California, slender and with long wings. Note also the mantle tone difference between the California and Herring in similar positions, and the similarity of the leg color of California to Ring-billed, instead of the obviously pink legs of Herring.
