The World

A different concept in a cruise ship which has 165 residences, ranging from studios to three bedrooms, with an option to buy. Average occupancy is 150-200 residents and guests.
The ship has been empty except for non-essential crew since March 2020, and now it looks like it will remain so with COVID infection rates rising.
There are currently three other cruise ships anchored off shore with no plans to resume cruising in the immediate future.

I like the POV here, gives us a sense of how big these cruise ships are

It is so sad how Covid has shuttered so many things. Love the composition with the bird guarding the ship. V

Shame to see the ships sitting idle. I like the foreground pelican! V.

Love that pelican in the foreground. So many businesses having to shift and adjust.

Oh my - this COVID thing sure has raised havoc with so many businesses. A sad scene, but a great shot !! V

A neat and different idea for living space.

Now is not a good idea to stay on board a cruise ship for a lengthy time....great capture with clarity and POV....V

I think a floating residence is a lot better than a diesel-guzzling carbon-spewing cruise ship.
That pelican looks like it is making sure the ship stays put!

Interesting concept, but what happens when the ship goes into dry dock? Well I guess, the prospective buyers have enough money for a pad somewhere...

I don’t think now is the right time to buy into this although the idea of it is pretty cool. V

a sort of floating condo development then...certainly not the place to be during a pandemic..

This is a lovely shot, well composed and from a great angle. Very interesting about the potential purchase of a cabin on this cruise ship. Not my cup of tea at all, but I know people enjoy this and owning a cabin is an interesting concept. V

I enjoy seeing the "pilot" guiding them.
