...in Buxton Country Part. Also known as Grinlow Tower, this is a Victorian folly on the summit of Grin Low hill,
near the spa town of Buxton. The original tower had been built by one Solomon Mycock, of the Cheshire Cheese Hotel,
in the early 19th century, but it fell into ruin. It was rebuilt in the 1890s, and further restored in 1988.
The 20-foot-high two-storey tower is built on top of a Bronze Age barrow.
