Monte Lake

Monte Lake, BC

The small community on Monte Lake was badly hit by the
White Rock Lake fire - a lot of dwellings burnt. We
have a lot of people in the area with no home for the winter.

Great lighting in the image. A tragedy for those losing their homes - hopefully there will be enough comfortable places made available for them for the winter.

Beautiful view with this lighting and colors. "V"
Horrible to lose your home by wildfire. Hope the people who suffered loss are taken care of.

How awful to lose a house with all your possessions. Well lit image at any rate.

It’s a beautiful light but very sad situation. Hopefully people will be able to find a new housing for the winter...!

Wonderful light in this layering of trees...it really is unfortunate how the wild fires have caused so much damage this summer. V

news coverage showed what a fierce fire that was, and the resultant damage must have left so many people hurting...that's a very attractive scene, although slightly tainted by all the dead trees..

I hope community is able to recover, always surprising how randomly fire moves through a forest.

Beautifully lit capture, but so sad to hear about the residents of the area. V.

Yes, very sad and tragic. The foreground greenery though looks new, offering a comeback of sorts. What a fabulously lit photo, I love backlighting! Best of luck to those unfortunate people displaced by that fire.
