The ribbon in this photo cost me $50!!!
Normally, I wouldn't mention the price of something. However, "normally" I also would NEVER spend that kind of money for a slip of ribbon. But this ribbon has a story.
The back story is I made an on-line order to a store for several small items that all together totaled around $100. No one item was very expensive. However, for some unknown reason, the seller then immediately created a totally second order (without my input) of this $50 ribbon & used my CC on file to pay for it. Eeeek!!! That seems "wrong" to me and was no accident. Although everything on my original order (low ticket items) was correct, I never placed a second order that day with the company. It was a legitimate item in their catalog and was actually "marked down" to $50. Supposedly, the ribbon was "on sale" at $50 as an "on-line only" special. But I still sure didn't order it!!!
The ribbon is pretty enough but IMO certainly not worth $50 or more. Since I didn't order it, return seemed to be the solution. However, trying to return the unordered ribbon turned out to be next to impossible. So I got stuck with keeping it. After days of frustrating round and round, my CC company was also no help in this matter. Not knowing how else to use something I really had no use for, I finally decided it might make a cute (although ridiculously expensive) photo prop. So here it is.
However, the ribbon is almost as big as Bailey!!!
Plus I still can't figure out what makes the ribbon worth OVER $50.
BTW, my CC is no long on file with that company. I also had that CC number totally changed.
Meanwhile, Bailey looks pretty in pink.
