Bailey and the Sunflower 2014 and On...

A Tradition Started When Bailey was 9 Months Old.

In 2014, we went to a Sunflower Farm that is only in bloom for less than 2 weeks each year. Acres and acres of sunflowers as far as the eye can see. The first 6 years of Sunflowers in this gallery (up until the Pandemic Year of 2020) are sunflowers from that same field. After that, the images do still include fresh sunflowers; however, not all are from the original sunflower field. The first 2 years were shot with only a Cell Phone just to capture the Memories.
For the years after that, I used a DSLR (or Mirrorless body) to capture the art as well keep the memories.

Some of those images became commercial greeting cards and calendars that you may have seen in the stores. Bailey is the best canine model and always enjoys posing for the camera. That has given her a career.

When I now think of Sunflowers, I think of Bailey.
