Glasgow Necropolis. The first burials took place in the Necropolis in 1833 with some of the tombstones being designed by some of the prominent designers of the day
To date over 50,000 burials have taken place on the site
The stereoview was published by C Bierstadt and distributed by Underwood & Underwood. The photograph itself was taken by George Washington Wilson (1823 - 1893) circa 1870 though this is not shown on the card
