Just after the Black-crowned Heron and the one-footed Great Egret (see my previous three postings by clicking "Next" "Next" "Next") had flown off, out popped a Mink from between the rocks about two meters from where I was standing. However, it was too close to focus on and as soon as it spotted me raising my camera, it immediately ducked back under the rocks. I thought "shucks, I missed it. But then, with my camera still up, a second Mink popped-up some 10 meters away, I managed the above and several other shots of it before it too disappeared again. My lucky day.
