When I first encountered the one-footed Great Egret (see previous two postings), this Black-crowned Night Heron was respectfully perched at a safe distance from the Egret. Here it seems to be hiding behind some flowering weeds observing the Egrets actions whilst at the same time keeping a weary eye on me.
