This is a combination of 4 images that were taken as the Sun rose between a layer of clouds about 10 minutes after sunrise. These images are not precisely aligned but are basically best guesses for placement. This is the most slender crescent we were able to see.
Exposure times were 1/320s, 1/40s, 1/40s, and 1/13s and all without a solar filter.
