“‘Halfway there’ Biden marks 50 million COVID-19 jabs.
"US President Joe Biden held a ceremony commemorating 50 million coronavirus vaccine jabs on Thursday, amid rising concerns about the emergence of new variants in at least two states. Biden, who took office on January 20, pledged to vaccinate 100 million people in his first 100 days in office. Now, on his 37th day in office, Biden said he is on track to exceed that goal. The push to vaccinate more Americans is taking place amid the emergence of two variants that researchers say may be more transmissible, and may show resistance to the vaccines currently being administered.
A lead scientist on coronavirus mutations said variants – even when they are highly transmissible – can still be controlled through social distancing, wearing masks, washing hands, as well as continuing to vaccinate people. Vaccine makers are working to develop booster shots to combat mutated versions of the virus.” Aljazeera News.
Even once you as an individual are able to get vaccinated, continue to:
Wear a Mask
Wash your hands.
Respect Social Distancing.
If all Americans get vaccinated and follow the above basic rules, eventually there will come a time when the USA can more or less return to a semblance of what we once knew as the old normal; before COVID took over our lives. However, if Americans don’t do the above (until the virus is really under control), COVID will continue to stay with us forever. Defeating COVID is up to all Americans working together and caring about one and other. This should have NOTHING to do with politics. Only together, can we make the USA “safe” again.
