According to Bug Guide, this moth is named after Dr. James Fletcher "...botanist and entomologist of the Central Experimental Farm in Ottawa." Thanks to iNaturalist for the ID of this pretty moth (in the Tortricidae family). I was unaware that Fletcher had a moth named after him, but this is pretty cool, because the Fletcher Wildlife Garden in Ottawa is also named for him.
