ISOME by artist ONEQ (Japan)
“One of the big differences between beginner mural artists and the professionals
is the use of projection when tracing their artwork onto the wall. As an artist
becomes accustomed to working on large scales, they no longer need to project
and trace their work onto a wall. ONEQ uses only a rough sketch and colour
palette before scaling up her piece onto the wall. Working with aerosol, she
traces an outline of her piece onto the wall then fills in the details using intuition.
An artist saves lots of time working directly with aerosol and no projections.
This piece is a mix of old Japanese and American comics’ pop styles.
