Boil new potatoes for 15 minutes, until just cooked, cut into chunks and put into a casserole dish.
Parboil cauliflower florets for 5 minutes, and add to the potatoes. Cut up leftover ham into small
bite-sized pieces and mix in with the veg. Make a cheese sauce by melting a couple of Tbs butter
and adding a couple of Tbs plain flour. Cook for a few minutes, stirring all the while, then add
whole milk in stages to make a nice thick sauce. Stir in a couple of good handfulls of grated
strong cheddar cheese, together with a few grinds of black pepper. Pour this over the ham and veg,
sprinkle over a little more grated cheese, and bake in a 180°C oven for 25-30 minutes,
until bubbling hot and golden. Serve with a mixed salad.
