Saint Maeog est un saint breton quasi inconnu de l'Armorique primitive, mais qui est traditionnellement honoré dans plusieurs paroisses de Bretagne.
Ce serait un moine évangéliste itinérant du vie siècle, l’un de ceux qui parcouraient forêts et landes pour convertir les Celtes. Je me demande quels pouvaient être leurs arguments. Comment s’y prenaient-ils pour faire abandonner leur religion au profit d’une autre à tous ces gens qui trahissaient en quelque sorte tout ce en quoi ils avaient cru jusqu’à ce jour ? Cela reste un mystère pour moi….

Saint Maeog is a Breton saint almost unknown of primitive Armorica, but who is traditionally honored in several parishes of Brittany.
He would be an itinerant evangelist monk of the VI century, one of those who travelled through forests and heaths to convert the Celts. I wonder what their arguments might be. How did they manage to make all those people - who had somehow betrayed everything they had believed in to this day - abandon their religion for the benefit of another? It remains a mystery to me….
