Pohnpei athletes take the field at the 2002 Micronesia Games during opening ceremonies Sunday at Kolonia, Pohnpei. The Micro Games run until July 31 and have attracted more than 3,000 athletes, spectators and support staff to Pohnpei. U.S. Marines and sailors from Okinawa, Japan, are assisting at the Micro Games by augmenting the Pohnpei medical staff.
