The number of COVID-19 cases in Ireland has been increasing over the last few weeks.
Following outbreaks in meat processing plants and accommodation for asylum seekers, three counties were placed under lockdown, the over 70s have been advised to be careful,
people told to work from home, and restrictions placed on the already reduced numbers who can attend sporting and arts events.
Then it emerged that 81 of the great and the good, including Government Ministers and other politicians, the Irish commissioner to the EU,
a recently appointed judge and a doctor had attended a golf club dinner, breaching public health regulations.
There have been resignations and gnashing of teeth but it's poor leadership which sends out the wrong message.
Today thousands of people attended a march in Dublin organized by the anti-mask, anti-vaxx, conspiracy theorists and the alt-right.
The majority of people are disgusted and regard it as an insult to those who lost loved ones to COVID-19 and to our healthcare workers.
