111 Days

with no end in sight

Today's News Headlines

"The United States, the world leader in Covid-19 infections and deaths, is reeling from an out-of-control resurgence of the virus that is racking up record numbers of 50,000-plus new infections each day now."

"Since the pandemic started, the United States confirmed the biggest one-day jump in coronavirus cases on Thursday. The previous US high was set just a day earlier, on Wednesday." Both were thousands in excess of 50,000 individuals.

US "Hospitals face 'an explosion of Covid' and signs of another surge as coronavirus case numbers climb."

"The US could have almost 148,000 coronavirus deaths by July 25, according to new forecast"

Today was another day of staying alive and healthy. Social isolation does have that advantage during these dangerous times. Here at home, we are safe. Still, I dream of the old "normal" - back when life in the "outside world" was to be lived; not merely survived.

A beautiful image Liz, but a sad time for the USA.

Such a gorgeous serene shot, in contrast to what is going on in the US. The numbers are hard to believe, and yet there are people who don't believe in the virus or don't believe in doing anything about it!

Beautiful image. I don't understand why so many Americans don't seem to care about the situation we find ourselves in...
