A Mask is a Mask is a Mask...

A mask is not…

A Conspiracy
A political stance or belief
An expression of strength of character, courage or lack thereof
A racial statement
A sign of weakness or vulnerability
Conformity to the powers that be
A cultural identity
Only for old people

A mask is what keeps you and me safe
and allows the economy to open up further while mitigating the risks.
Let's all work together.

Voilà un accessoire indispensable 😷

Well said. Can't believe how something so simple and sensible has become politicalised.
Walter Otto Koenig29-Jun-2020 18:23
True words, but unfortunately there are so many ignorant people out there.

Still avoid crowds especially indoors, and wash your hands often, physical distancing is most important.

Seems like such a simple and selfless thing to do to help. Why is it so difficult for some?
janescottcumming28-Jun-2020 17:50
Just wear the mask people! You said it better than I did.

Those who don't wear masks are nuts.

Face masks are absolutely crucial in the battle against covid-19 but shockingly, there're recently 'Anti-maskers' in Florida having bizarre reasons for not wearing them...V

Well said, Raymond. I only wish more people would take it to heart. V.
Gill Kopy28-Jun-2020 04:26
Well said Ray !! It worries me that people are becoming complacent here - there were very few people wearing them in Vernon yesterday.

Well, in a sense that’s true, but the top mask’s used fabric reminds me very of my hometown were we wear large red handkerchiefs (here more seen as bandanas) around our neck during carnival. It’s very pretty. And a good reminder we all have to stay on top of the problem. VV

hope more young people would understand that.V.

And the pity is that this has to be repeated and repeated instead of being taken for granted
peterjay4528-Jun-2020 02:00
Perfect!
globalgadabout28-Jun-2020 01:42
lots of people south of the border took a jaundiced view of masks, asserting their independence, and now cases are seriously on the rise...if only more folks recognized the good sense of what you have written..
Nick Paoni28-Jun-2020 00:44
So well said!

It is odd how masks have become politicized in some areas... as you say, their only role is to keep one safe. V
