Update: May 17, 2020, 04:28 GMT
USA
1,507,773 confirmed cases of COVID-19
90,113 American Deaths

Note: With only 4% of the World population, the United States now has 34% of the World's COVID-19 cases & 29% of the World's COVID deaths. While this is happening, the current US president still says "Eventually it’s going to go away. The question is will we need a vaccine. At some point it’s going to probably go away by itself."

"Trump seems to be pursuing a herd immunity strategy — whether intentionally or not. Science says the it will take 70% of the population to become infected for a country to achieve herd immunity without a vaccine. With a U.S. population of about 330 million that means something like 3 million or so Americans dying." Those, who are in the high risk group (but who do social isolate enough to NOT become part of that 3 million dead) will have to continue to self isolate for... well, forever.

The above photo came as a surprise to me. During his days off from work, my husband has been doing deck clean up & repairs. He'd been talking about replacing the steps, but I really didn't expect to find them missing today!!! The old boards have been torn out. Although ordered, I'm not sure when the replacement boards are coming from the Lumber Yard. Nor when the work will get done. Hubby still works a full time job. So around-the-house projects are secondary.
