This one belongs to some sort of ground squirrel that has been leaving lumps in our yard.

USA
987,160 confirmed cases of COVID-19
55,413 American Deaths
Milestone: In JUST one month's time, the USA has lost OVER 54,000 American souls to the virus.
Those deaths have occurred DESPITE stay-at-home orders being in place across most of the Nation. Without mitigation, things would have been a lot worse... Social distancing and being stuck at home have been difficult. However, if our past month's lockdown saved even one life, the sacrifice of staying-at-home has been worth it.

Living on acreage in a country-like setting, we've had a ground squirrel problem for years. One suggestion to stop the problem has been: "Spray Predator Urine Around the Yard. …" Interesting, BUT exactly what is a ground squirrel predator & where do you find their urine???
Thinking of what I may possibly be able to obtain, I'd have to save the pee from all my Chihuahuas together for 10 years to perform just one treatment of the yard. However even if I did that, I doubt the ground squirrels would actually consider our Chihuahuas predators. Three and a half acres is also a really big yard to spray with anything... especially with urine. Imagine that smell. No thank you. It looks like we're going to have to just continue to share the yard (lumps and bumps and holes) with the ground squirrels. Not everything in life has a workable solution.
Although this was not my main photo subject of the day, it did give me pause to consider. Many scientists are now saying that COVID-19 may also be around to stay. However, having ground squirrels - that are a little bit destructive & won't go away - is a lot less problematic and far less unsettling to accept. Everything is relative in significance...
