Yes, I would have said some kind of Tussock Moth also, and I've also heard that the caterpillars with wispy hair are quite often poisonous. Just touching the hairs can be painful later.

Some on this page are reporting these black and white caterpillars as poisonous. Not sure if yours is one of those. Check out all the images on this page.
