Darjeeling et le massif du Kangchenjunga 8586 m (28 169 Feet).
Connu mondialement pour son excellent thé (mon préféré), Darjeeling est située en Inde, dans l’état du Bengale Occidental.
Au temps de l’Empire britannique, Darjeeling était une station d’altitude où les sujets de Sa Majesté venaient se reposer des chaleurs des plaines indiennes. Elle est située à une altitude moyenne de 2500 mètres. Son nom vient du tibétain « Dorje Ling » qui signifie le « Jardin du Foudre-diamant ».
Le « foudre diamant » est le symbole du Bouddhisme tantrique Tibétain. (j’en posterai une image ultérieurement).

Known worldwide for its excellent tea (my favorite), Darjeeling is situated in India in West Bengal state. At the time of the British Empire, Darjeeling was an altitude station where the subjects of His Majesty came to rest from the heat of the Indian plains. It is situated at an average altitude of 2500 meters. Its name comes from the Tibetan "Dorje Ling » which means the «Diamond Lightning Garden».
« Diamond lightning » is the symbol of Tibetan Tantric Buddhism. (I will post later an image of this symbol).
