Le memorial Chörten fut construit en 1974 en mémoire du 3ème roi du Bhoutan décédé en 1972. C’est un endroit très fréquenté de la capitale. Avec vénération une file ininterrompue de personnes - pour la plupart âgées - en font inlassablement le tour dans le silence troublé uniquement par les clochettes du chörten qui tintent dans le vent…

The Memorial Chörten was built in 1974 in memory of the 3rd King of Bhutan who died in 1972. It is a very busy place in the capital. With reverence an uninterrupted line of people - most of them elderly - relentlessly turn around it in the silence disturbed only by the bells of the chörten which tinkle in the wind…
