Our Yard

This wayward Catbird seems to have survived our last severe cold spell as it was back eating Buckthorne berries yesterday (Jan 23) looking pretty healthy. This is the first time I've seen a Catbird overwinter here.

Nice shot and you are correct they usually leave for a warmer locations but always return for our pleasure, they do love there berries .Very nice natural setting.

weird year Hank, in Québec still having warblers, hermit thrush, catbird and brown thrasher, plus
eastern blue bird and field sparrow and some more species.
