Bunda (Nullarbor) Cliffs

The limestone that underlies the Nullarbor Plain ends abruptly in these 80-m cliffs dropping into the Great Australian Bight.
The cliffs stretch unbroken from close to the SA/WA border east for 300 km.
You can see distinct bands in the limestone. These correspond to three distinct periods when the Plain was under the sea and receiving calcareous deposits that subsequently became limestone.
