Once again I have been frightened by the Federal Bureaucracy. Here's the deal. Being on Medicare, I can visit the doctor but I have to declare whether it is an annual wellness visit (of which I get one per year for free) or a routine physical examination (which Medicare will not pay for). So think about it. If you are well, you get it for free, if you are ill, it's out of your pocket, buddy. So what good is Medicare? All this crap is designed and administered by a bunch of unelected bureaucrats.

My annual wellness visit went OK. I am in good health. My physician is nice. One thing that caught my attention was a question they asked. Have you fallen down in the last year? I asked and they informed me that they are required to ask that question when the patient is 65 or older. That was amusing. I really try my best to keep out of the clutches of the medical profession and the federal government.

I stared at this installation in the doctor's office for quite a while waiting for the annual wellness visit to begin. While reading up on the Annual Wellness Visit, I came across the following quote: "The Medicare Wellness exam includes the assessments, but none of the "physical" tests where the doctor has to physically touch you." Think about it.

Absolute incredible coincidence.
I read this, next day speaking to a friend he said I went to the doctor today and he asked me if I had fallen over in the last year.
Seems the medical profession stick together world wide.
I asked my friend why the doctor asked that question, he said I never thought to ask him.
