The Big Stump

This huge stump was once the base of a majestic towering Sequoia tree.
Now it is a remnant to the human ultimate greed.
The tree was cut down in 1853 and its bark was stripped and shipped to New York World Fair.
There it was assembled together as a showpiece.
John Muir, US renowned naturalist wrote exasperatedly; "The vandals than danced upon the stump".
In fact, the remaining stump was used at several times, as a dancing floor!
