USS Oregon (BB-3)

Commissioned in 1896 she saw service during the Spanish American war, spent time in China during the Boxer Rebellion, during WW1 she acted as a convoy escort. she was decommissioned in 1919.
She was then loaned to the State of Oregon as floating museum.
At the outbreak of WW2 it was decided she was worth more as scrap than a museum resulting in her superstructure being stripped at which point she was converted to a barge and used as an ammunition barge off of Guam during the battle for the island. The remains were sold for scrap in 1956.
