An antique 19th Century or earlier tsakli painting in mineral pigments depicting beneath a lama's cushioned throne which is draped with silken cloth (the offering of the sense of touch) and guarded by two lions, a cluster of symbolic offerings. They are placed symbolically atop a 'Mt Meru stack' of cushions with draped offering silken scarfs - each in the 4 colours of the universe - the offerings of Precious Things - tusks, a pair of rectangular jewelled earrings (Tibetan: nor bu bskor cha) and a heap of 5 jewels (norbu). 7 lines Tibetan text to reverse including 1 red illumination plus 1 syllable below. 9.3x12.4cm
