Snapshot of Bunthy Me

Siem Reap, Cambodia

Bunthy was our driver for 2 days in Siem Reap. He's peeking over the front end of his "new" car.
He got the car used from Japan. He was so proud of it. Can now take up to 7 people. Most people in Siem Reap cannot afford new cars. He sold the old one and pointed it out one day when he saw it parked.
I found Bunthy through a blog called "Extra Pack of Peanuts" by Travis. He highly recommended Bunthy and we were not disappointed. Bunthy told me to be sure and let Travis know about the new car!
He was such a delight. Would drop us at whatever temple we wanted to visit, then would say "I'll be over in those hammocks. Whenever we came out of the temple to look for him, he'd see us immediately and start waving. If we weren't sure where to go, he'd make recommendations.
He had lots of stories to tell.

A nice personal touch, plus the juxtaposition of old and new transportation. The willing drivers and guides so often enhance one's visit to developing countries.

Nice contrast of vehicles. During our stay there we have visited all the area with the kind of tuk-tuk on the foreground. A lot dusty but cool air and very kind driver was appreciated. V.
