Exquisite old specimen from the Type Locality, a group of gemmy doubly terminated crystals to 21 mm. This belonged to Carlton M. Davis (1920-2006), obtained by him from an old collection at Ward's, Rochester, New York (founded 1862). The crystals are particularly rich in forms, including {101}, {201} and {111} as "bevels" adjacent to the basal pinacoid.
The mineral dealer Rob Lavinsky described being fascinated by this specimen when he saw it as a 12 year old in the collection of Carlton Davis.
