Vancouver is well planted with trees, and has been for decades...of course some are now in decline, yet even in that state offer intriguing 'faces', in this case reminding of an ogre

Character. This tree has character, many characters, grim or ghostly, haunted or horrific. Maybe an ogre guardian.

Trees make for a great Rorschach test as they are 3D and so complex. Looks like this one is a special one. It's got a nice flow. Reminds me of Bruce Bickford's work. Cool find and shot David.
