We kept hearing a wonderful, melodious bird call without being able to find the bird who was calling. Our guide on the boat tour explained that the Bellbird is probably who we were hearing, or possibly the more widely seen Tui who mimics the Bellbird. He suggested a walk through a marshland near the boat dock to find this bird.
