This coming weekend is the big Boy Scout Memorabilia Trade-O-Ree in Dallas. Grapevine, actually. I have been a collector for a very long time. I have not been active for quite a while. I attended the event two years ago, but last year we had to go help my son Richard and his family during the event, so I didn't go. This year I am able to go again. My collection is quite big. There are tons of duplicates and I have been working to clean things out a little bit. I have a table again this year and I will be bringing things to sell. Today's photo is of my collection. On the bookshelf are lots of binders which house my core collection of the old Region 9 Order of the Arrow lodges which includes Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma. You can see lots of tubs and two foot lockers that contain mainly the excess stuff. It takes up lots of space which I would like to recover eventually. We will see what happens.

There is a fine line.
My collection is cataloged
and I am selling off stuff.
It would be hoarding otherwise.

I've heard there a fine line between "collecting" and "hoarding."
