This mental hospital, originally known as Brookwood Asylum was closed in 1994. Some of its buildings were 'listed' (protected from demolition) and so were converted into luxury apartments, whilst other parts of the site were replaced with more conventional housing.

So many lovely buildings...perhaps not all memories are good, but new ones can be made.
