I was walking near Yer Kapı, when I saw near an old wall with Byzantine spolia there were two boys shooting arrows. I spoke with them and some people with them. They were to compete in a tournament later that day and now were practicing. Together they gave me a quick lesson in archery, differences in bows, styles of shooting, putting fingers or thumbs on the bow string ands so forth. I took some pictures of them (and the wall, and the gate).
